Lunch of Hope
In August the Sunshine Coast Business Women’s Network in conjunction with the Cancer Council Queensland held a fund raising event “The Lunch of Hope” at Le Baroque Restaurant Buderim.
The event was proudly sponsored by local businesses Ellerfield Financial Planning Buderim, MLC Mortgage Solutions and Nicole Sylvester Consulting. All participants had a great lunch and were very generous in their support of the Cancer Council raising $1830- over 2 ½ hours.
Managing Director of Ellerfield, Aaron Zamykal donated a cheque for $500- to the Cancer Council stating “We are honoured to be sponsoring such a worthy event and giving back to those people who especially need it. Having two employees currently undergoing cancer treatment this cause is very dear to our hearts”.
The Cancer Council was extremely pleased with the fundraising event with Ralf from Cancer Council QLD advising “Not only was it a great fundraising event for the CCQ and its role in combating cancer but we feel it was also very successful in getting the word out there of what the Cancer Council is all about and the diversity of the help it offers our community. The luncheon was also one of the most professionally run fundraisers we have attended in a long time and we thank you for that.”
A total of 55 business men and women attended the event and a highly successful, fun lunch was had by all. A big thank you goes out to all those local business who donated raffle prizes and lucky door prizes to help raise funds.
