Every year MLC/Garvan choose 24 candidates from all across Australia to be part of their Adviser Scholarship Programme. This year was the sixth intake for the organization and our very own Avinash Ramchandani was selected to be a part of the programme.
The programme is conducted in Sydney over a week. The induction day was held on the 13th July 2009 which Avinash attended together with our General Manager, David Weir.
“Training is a foundation for an efficient office. Too often I hear people say that they are too busy to go to training. Maybe they are too busy because they didn't go to training. Sometimes the best thing to do is to stop and explore better ways” says Brad Buckingham, Training Specialist with ThreeSixty Education and Training.
The Scholarship Programme is a powerful course because it gives attendees the opportunity and time to consider how they can do things better. This might be how to organise their time more efficiently, learn skills on how to approach their clients, even how they might approach their colleagues in a more productive way.
It gives them time to learn and hone new skills, in both an encouraging and challenging environment.
The programme involves various training courses for an up coming Financial Adviser. The courses range from communication to presentation skills. These are essential elements towards assisting the business with servicing current and growing prospective client bases and to add another Adviser to the team.
Avinash was glad to be chosen and is looking forward to implementing his newly acquired knowledge into the business.
