The staff at Ellerfield spent a day together at the James St Cooking School, with the emphasis on working together as a team.
We were split into 4 groups, and each group cooked an entrée, soup and a main dish that would be enjoyed by everyone.
It was important for each team member to know what they were responsible for and what they needed to do, but they also needed to know what their other team members were doing, to ensure that each meal was prepared properly, on time and ultimately would taste good.
We quickly recognised and utilized each other’s strengths ensuring that our team would produce a great meal. Some of us were better at preparing, some of us were better at cooking and some of us were better at taste testing. The end result was a lovely 6 course meal that was enjoyed by everyone.
