These Scones are not only easy to make......they are delicious.
2 1/2 cups Self Raising flour
1 cup of lemonade
1/4 cup of cream
1 tsp vanilla essence
Combine all ingredients into a bowl and mix using a flat bladed knife until it just comes together.Turn onto a floured surface and knead lightly so it is not sticky. (do not over knead)
Make a dough circle about 30mm high.
Cut into circles using a cutter or glass, cup etc.
Brush with milk.
Place scones onto a tray lined with baking paper.
Cook in a moderate oven 180 degrees for approx 15 minutes - all ovens vary in temperature.
You can check scones after this time by placing a toothpick or skewer into scone when it comes out clean they are cooked
Makes about 8 scones -cut in half and serve with jam and cream when cool.
