It’s hard to believe the end of the financial year is fast approaching!

Well done to the Australian Cricket team for bringing home the World Cup again! Let’s see if the Wallabies can do the same with the Rugby World Cup later in the year.

All good news on the finance front, the sharemarket continues to perform well and at this stage, interest rates look unlikely to rise for the rest of the year.

With the federal budget having just been announced, it looks like there is something for all as promised. Everyone will receive a tax cut,  there is increased childcare support, a bonus co-contribution payment (if you qualify) and extra funding for education being some of the main points. Also another reminder regarding Tax File Numbers. It is important that your super fund has been notified of your Tax File Number. Refer back to our March article regarding this.
